Support The Gift Of Literacy Campaign

We invite you to support Books Are Wings in our 8th Annual Gift of Literacy Campaign. This campaign will provide funding for Books Are Wings’ core mission of putting free books in the hands of children. Every child in Rhode Island deserves access to books in their home and to be excited about books and reading.
Recently, we were able to launch our Gift of Literacy Campaign with a kickoff event. The kickoff event took place on Thursday, November 4th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Slater Park Pavilion in Pawtucket. This drive-through, outdoor event included fun prizes, giveaways and other interactive events for all ages. This was the first time in nearly two years that we offered an event in-person, and we were so excited to gather Books Are Wings volunteers, book donors, and supporters!
Our campaign kickoff was just the beginning. We need your help as we continue the campaign through the end of the year. The campaign runs from November 4th through December 31st, 2021. The funds raised throughout the campaign support Books Are Wings' mission to put free books in the hands of children during the holiday season and all year long.
