Volunteer with us!

Potential volunteers must go through an application process and background check before they can participate in any events or service. Please fill out this application and we will contact you for an informal interview. You must also submit a Rhode Island state BCI no more than 2 years old before participating in volunteer work with us. You can see all of our opportunities below.

Book Sorting

Volunteer groups are currently packing books for our programs. This volunteer opportunity consists of sorting boxes of children's books by reading level, labeling the boxes, and getting them ready to go out to partner sites in our office.

Our programs are supported by the generosity of the many individuals who donate books directly to us. Your organization or group can collect new and gently used children's books to donate.

This is also a wonderful option for any celebration in lieu of gifts.
