Books Are Wings invites you to join us in giving the gift of literacy. The Gift of Literacy Campaign extends from 10/1 to 12/31, and provides essential funds for programs that build children’s opportunity, desire and passion to read.
With a goal of raising $20,000 through sponsorships and individual donor gifts, our annual Gift of Literacy Campaign will provide funding for Books Are Wings’ core mission of putting free books in the hands of children. Every child in Rhode Island deserves access to books in their home and to be excited about books and reading.
Now more than ever, these funds will support students who are facing challenges in accessing books. These funds will support distance learners and children who no longer have access to their school libraries. This year more than ever children and families need access to books, literacy activities, and resources. This campaign will allow us to pack thousands more book bags with books to support children in their literacy development. Your support of this campaign will also make it possible for us to create a new digital platform for families.
