Fine Art and Wine Fundraiser
Books Are Wings is a regional nonprofit organization founded to promote reading, literacy, and libraries. Books are distributed to children in families of limited means who otherwise may be unable to obtain books of their own. Book parties are held at venues such as day care centers, schools, after schools sites, libraries, Boys and Girls Clubs, YMCAs, community centers, churches, and other family-friendly locations. Books Are Wings is proud to encourage family literacy through its free children’s book parties and to help children experience the joy of reading.
Books Are Wings gives thousands of FREE books to children throughout Rhode Island, reaching families and encouraging literacy through our unique program.
