Books Are Wings donates over 10,000 books a year to children in families who otherwise may be unable to obtain them on their own. Through unique book parties that include storytelling, face painting, sing alongs, and of course free books, Book Are Wings fosters community unity and encourages children to develop a curiosity for reading that results in improved reading skills. In support of these exciting advancements, Books Are Wings is thrilled to embark on an inaugural fundraising campaign: Wings to Soar.
In an effort to continue these wonderful advancements, we invite you to join us in providing the wind that allows a child’s wings to soar. Every dollar received will assist in providing the much needed resources to distribute the books that will ultimately help children help themselves.
TO DONATE BOOKS
The Books Are Wings program is supported by the generosity of many individuals and groups who have donated new and "gently used" books. Collection bins are located at various libraries throughout Rhode Island. If you have books to donate, please contact us and we will be happy to either arrange for a pick up or advise you of a nearby location.
